Tactical Force officers arrest a man who tried to destroy evidence; drugs, cash, and a precision scale were seized during the police operation
The Military Police of Mato Grosso, through the Tactical Force of the 14th Independent Company (14ª CIPM), carried out another action as part of Operation Zero Tolerance Against Criminal Factions in Rondonópolis, late this Saturday afternoon (October 11), around 5:30 p.m., in the Sítios Farias neighborhood.
While patrolling the area, officers were approached by residents who reported that a bar known as “B. B.” was being used as a drug trafficking point, allegedly managed by a man identified as Marcelo.
Based on the information received, the Tactical Force 01 team proceeded to the location and found the suspect behind the counter. Upon noticing the police approach, he smashed his cell phone in an attempt to destroy evidence and resisted arrest, forcing officers to use moderate force to restrain him.
During a personal search, police found five small containers of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine hydrochloride, along with BRL 136.00 in cash. A subsequent search of the premises led to the discovery of a black backpack containing a precision scale, one medium-sized portion of cocaine, seven ziplock bags of marijuana, one plastic package of the same substance, three medium portions, and an additional BRL 200.00 in small bills.
The suspect, who sustained bruises on his face and back due to resistance, was placed under arrest and taken to the 1st Police Precinct of Rondonópolis (1ª DELPOL) along with the seized material.
According to the police report, the man has prior criminal records, including offenses for disturbance, corruption of minors, contempt, disobedience, and property damage, registered in 2016 and 2025.
