Man breaks into ex-girlfriend’s house and kills her in Nobres, Brazil; he used gun stolen from police officer

The tragic incident occurred on Monday morning (13) in Jardim Petrópolis, Nobres (MT). The victim had a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, who was later found dead inside the residence.

A tragic case of femicide shocked the city of Nobres, Mato Grosso (Brazil), on Monday morning, October 13.

A man identified as Luciano, the ex-boyfriend of the victim, broke into her home in the Jardim Petrópolis neighborhood and shot her multiple times, unable to accept the end of their relationship.

According to information obtained by Lapada Lapada News, Luciano smashed the windows and doors to gain access to the residence. The victim, who already had a restraining order against him, was rescued and taken to Laura de Vicuña Hospital, but did not survive her injuries.
Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots during the attack. Investigators confirmed that the woman was hit by at least three bullets.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found Luciano dead inside the house, which showed clear signs of violence and destruction.

Further investigation revealed that Luciano had stolen a firearm from his current partner, a military police officer, while she was asleep. He then allegedly used her car to drive to his ex-girlfriend’s house, where the crime took place.

The case is being investigated as a femicide followed by suicide by the Civil Police of Mato Grosso (PCMT), with support from forensic experts of Politec.
